Prior to the Missouri Tigers 72-67 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks, I joined Phil Kornblut and Kevin McCrarey from our sister network, South Carolina Radio Network and their nightly show “Sportstalk.”  They asked me if it was true that Kim Anderson was on the hot seat and I responded that there is a fringe group of fans who have lost patience, but that now is not the time to bail on what Anderson is doing.

Seeing how Mizzou reacted on Tuesday night, not only to the news that teammate Wes Clark being kicked off the team, but holding off a team that was playing for first place in the SEC just a couple of days ago…it is clear the Tigers are heading in the right direction.

Frank Martin, during his postgame press conference, confirmed that the job Anderson is doing in his second year should be commended.  As Martin points out, judging a coaching job two years into the project is much more than wins and losses.

Listen to Martin comment on the Tigers effort, the play of Ryan Rosburg and Kim Anderson as a coach of a young team.
