Mizzou Men’s Basketball (9-16, 2-10) snapped their nine-game losing streak with a 75-64 victory over Tennessee (12-13, 5-7) Saturday at Mizzou Arena.

Senior forward Ryan Rosburg led the way with 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field, while freshman forward Kevin Puryear added 17 points. As a team, the Tigers outscored the Volunteers 30-18 in the paint and outrebounded Tennessee 41-26.

Rosburg’s performance was his second-straight game of 20 or more points and third-straight in double digits. Over his last three games, Rosburg is averaging 20.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

His 62 points scored over the last three games is just as many as he’s scored in his previous 13 games up to this latest surge.

Sophomore guard Namon Wright was the third Tiger to score in double digits, recording 13, getting off to a much better start than he did in the Vandy game.  When Wright can make his shots, Mizzou is a better team.

The Tigers led 38-27 and improved to 9-0 on the season when leading at halftime.

The Tigers ran into foul and turnover trouble in the second half, but kept the Volunteers at more than a two possession game for most of the second half, although UT cut the lead to four points with 1:25 remaining, but the Tigers were solid at the free throw line to finish off the 11-point win.

Mizzou hosts the Gamecocks at Mizzou Arena starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
