Troy Brouwer scored with 1:05 remaining to give the St. Louis Blues a 1-0 win against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday.  Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo’s shot from the right faceoff circle deflected off Brouwer and past Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne for his 10th goal.

Blues goaltender Brian Elliott made 15 saves for his first shutout of the season. St. Louis (30-16-8) is 4-0-0 against the Predators.

With the win, the third place Blues kept pace with Chicago and Dallas who also won.  The Blackhawks 2-1 win over Colorado allowed the Blues to add an additional two-point cushion over the fourth place Avs.
