Drawing of a proposed MLS soccer stadium, directly south of Union Station in St. Louis (SPACE Architecture + Design)

An architecture firm in St. Louis is floating the idea of building a soccer stadium in St. Louis to attract Major League Soccer.  The sight of the stadium would be directly south of Union Station.

Last May, MLS Commissioner Don Garber met with St. Louis officials, including Mayor Francis Slay, Governor Jay Nixon and his task force, when they were floating the idea of a soccer team sharing a North Riverfront stadium with the Rams.

Space Architecture and Design says their proposed site is about half the size of that proposed Rams stadium and would make Clark Street the greatest sports street in America with three teams playing around it.
