Missouri junior point guard Wes Clark made 9-of-10 field goals to lead all scorers with 22 points in an 81-50 victory over the Savannah State Tigers on Saturday at Mizzou Arena.

Clark also added three rebounds, three assists and three steals as Mizzou will enter SEC play with an overall record of 7-6, including 7-1 on their home floor.

Russell Woods dunk with just under seven minutes to play in the first half put Missouri up 26-14. The closest Savannah State would get was nine with 3:53 to go when Teslim Idris made a three-pointer for a 34-25 game.

Mizzou would hold them scoreless until the 15:48 mark of the second and by then the game was well in hand as the Tigers built a lead of 53-25.

Namon Wright scored 11 off the bench. Freshman K.J. Walton scored 10.

Missouri shot 53% for the game and hit 16 of 19 free throws.

Mizzou opens SEC play on Jan. 6th at Georgia.  Missouri’s next home game is Jan. 9th vs. Auburn.
