High school basketball holiday tournaments are taking place all over the state, but there was an odd delay at the Blue and Gold Tournament at JQH Arena in Springfield late Monday morning between Republic and Fair Grove at JQH Arena in Springfield.

At halftime, a flooded office triggered an alarm that sparked an evacuation of the building. The players and fans returned about ten minutes later.  Fair Grove stayed loose by walking around the arena in the rain. It worked.  They closed the third quarter on an 11-0 run and beat Republic 61-44.
