Vladimir Tarasenko scored on the power play with 5:20 remaining on a wrist shot that beat Predators goalie Pekka Rinne, as the St. Louis Blues scored twice in the third period to beat the Nashville Predators 2-1 on Thursday night at Scottrade Center. Tarasenko, who is tied with Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars for the NHL lead in goals, scored for the fourth straight game, and 10th time in the last 12 on home ice. He has 11 points (seven goals) in the past 10 games.

The Blues (19-10-4) got 27 saves from Jake Allen, who has given up one goal on 73 shots against the Predators in two starts this season.  Roman Josi scored on the power play in the first period for the Predators.

Down 1-0 going into the third period, the Blues tied it on a goal from David Backes, his tenth of the season, to tie the game 1-1, 2:38 in.  Alex Pietrangelo took a wrist shot from the right point and Backes tipped the puck through Rinne’s five-hole.
