Camyn Boone scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead Missouri State (4-6) past visiting Oral Roberts, 85-66, at JQH Arena Wednesday, helping the Bears avenge a season-opening loss to the Golden Eagles.

MSU, which won for the third time in four games, also got 14 points from Dorrian Williams and 11 from Dequon Miller in the victory. The Bears shot 53.3 percent from the field, marking their first 50-percent shooting effort since Feb. 5, 2014.

Obi Emegano, the No. 2 scorer in the nation entering the game, scored 18 to lead ORU (8-4), including 16 in the second half. Albert Owens also tallied 12 points for the visitors.

The Bears will now take to the road for a 1:30 tipoff on Saturday at Valparaiso (9-2). MSU then returns to JQH Arena on Tuesday for 7:05 p.m., matchup with in-state rival Southeast Missouri State to wrap the non-conference portion of the schedule.
