The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats scored 14 points in the 4th quarter to hold off West Georgia 38-23 to advance to the school’s ninth NCAA Division-II national championship game.

After having the game played in Florence, Alabama, the championship site now moves to Sporting Park in Kansas City.
Northwest, 14-0, will take on Shepherd, 13-0, on Dec. 19. The Bearcats will try to win their second national title in the last three years.
