Among the proposals filed include:

-A measure that would require both parents or legal guardian to be notified prior to a minor having an abortion. Rep. Rocky Miller filed the legislation. He offered a similar measure last year, but it did not pass.

-A bill from Rep. Brandon Ellington would raise the minimum wage to $10.25 an hour. He sponsored such a bill last year which didn’t make it out of committee.

-A so-called right to work measure has been filed by Rep. Eric Burlison, which he has carried for the last few years.

-A proposal by Rep. Keith English would ban texting while driving. He offered the bill this year, but it didn’t make it out of committee.

-Legislation by Rep. Joe Adams would change the laws for use of force by a police officer.
