November 13, 2015 By Bill Pollock

The Cardinals agreed to Minor League deals with catcher Eric Fryer and right-hander Juan Gonzalez. Both will be invited to Major League Spring Training.

The 30 year old Fryer has played in 65 games over parts of five Major League seasons with the Pirates and Twins, batting .243 with two home runs and 11 RBIs.

The 25 year old Gonzalez went 2-1 with a 2.18 ERA and 12 saves in 31 appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City last season. Gonzalez began the year with Double-A Tulsa, where he put together a 0.53 ERA over 13 relief outings.
