In a statement today from University of Missouri senior vice chancellor for research and graduate studies Hank Foley and provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs Garnett Stokes, they say there are currently no threats to campus safety despite ongoing misinformation on social media. They say MU leaders have been working “around the clock with students, faculty, staff and the Mizzou Police Department to ensure that the campus remains safe.”

University of Missouri leaders say no current threats to campus safety

“We must not lose perspective during this critical time when some may feel insecure. The Unviersity of Missouri is a major national, land-grant research university. All members of our community should know that we are working hard to make sure they have all of the university’s resources and services available to them as we move forward together.”

Stokes and Foley are advising students that MUAlert.missouri.edu is the only source for campus emergency information.
