To celebrate the Royals 2015 World Championship, the Royals are selling pieces of the World Series logos painted on the field at Kauffman Stadium.  You’ll be able to buy a 6-by-6 inch hexagonal cut piece of the grass starting Friday while supplies last.  A limited number of pieces will be sold with a hard plastic holder for $40.  Pieces without the holder will sell for $30.  Both will also contain infield dirt.

This is what I like…this is going to keep those money hungry hawks away from scooping up all the dirt.  Fans can only purchase up to two pieces at the Royals Authentics store at The K.  Orders by phone or email will not be accepted.

The store will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.  Only 500 swatches will be available, so get their early and enter at Gate B.  If the pieces are not sold out Friday afternoon, Royals Authentics will reopen at 11 a.m. Saturday until to 4 p.m. or when supplies run out.

Fans will exit the stadium both days through the Majestic Team Store, which will stay open an hour later on Friday.  Extended team store hours are currently 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through this Sunday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday starting next week.
