Missouri’s five GOP candidates for governor will be together on the same stage for a forum in Jefferson City that you can watch live at Missourinet.com.
The forum will be the first to feature these five Republican candidates for governor since former Navy SEAL and author Eric Greitens; and businessman and former Marine John Brunner formalized their campaigns. They will join former Missouri House speaker and U.S. attorney Catherine Hanaway; Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder; and Springfield state senator Bob Dixon.
Jefferson City state senator Mike Kehoe will moderate. He says the questions will come from several Republican clubs and outside groups including Missouri Farm Bureau.
“They asked me about a question. Of course you know what my question was: ‘What are your ideas to solve Missouri’s transportation problems?'” said Kehoe. “Hopefully that one will get thrown out there, but I think they’re pretty broad ranged, not real specific topics.”
He expects “right-to-work” and ethics reform to be brought up. With Farm Bureau hosting, a question about agriculture or environmental regulations might also be anticipated.
Those candidates are vying for the chance to face Attorney General Chris Koster, the only Democrat running for governor.
The forum begins at 6:30 Tuesday night. You’ll be able to find a live video stream that night at Missourinet.com.
