Alcides Escobar led off the game with a base hit.  The next 18 batters were retired by Toronto starter David Price as the Blue Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh.

Then it all fell apart for the ace pitcher who has yet to win a postseason game he started.  Price was charged with five runs as the Royals got six hits in the seventh inning to take a 5-3 lead. The Royals added a run in the eighth.

The Royals win 6-3 and go up 2-0 in the ALCS.

Ben Zobrist led off the seventh with a single after miscommunication led to the ball dropping in front of Jose Bautista.  Zobrist moved to second on a single by Lorenzo Cain.  Zobrist scored on a single by Eric Hosmer.  After a ground out by Kendrys Morales that scored Cain, Mike Moustakas singled scoring Hosmer. Price got Sal Perez to strikeout looking but Alex Gordon chased Price with a double to right-center.  Gordon would later score off a single from Alex Rios.

Wade Davis came on in the ninth and after the first two batters reached base, Davis retired the side ending the game on Bautista swinging at the first pitch and flying out to right.
