Steve Spurrier is hanging up his visor at USC. Spurrier told his team Monday night that he is retiring, effective immediately. Spurrier made the formal announcement this morning at his regularly scheduled news conference, but made it clear, this wasn’t retirement…he was resigning.

He even floated the idea he might coach high school players.  Once its in your blood to coach, there’s not getting away from the game.  Spurrier is USC’s all-time winningest coach.
