Cardinals manager Mike Matheny met with the media to answer questions following the club’s workout at Busch Stadium in advance of Friday’s game one National League Division Series with the Chicago Cubs. Matheny laid out his four starters and bullpen, as well as the position players who will make up the 25 for the best-of-five.
Following John Lackey in the starting rotation, Jaime Garcia will start game two on Saturday. Michael Wacha and Lance Lynn will start games three and four at Wrigley Field.
Bullpen: Trevor Rosenthal, Kevin Siegrist, Adam Wainwright, Jonathan Broxton, Seth Maness, Carlos Villanueva, and Tyler Lyons.
Infield: Mark Reynolds, Kolten Wong, Matt Carpenter, Jhonny Peralta, Greg Garcia and Brandon Moss
Outfield: Matt Holliday, Jason Heyward, Randal Grichuk, Stephen Piscotty, Jon Jay and Tommy Pham
