The students were practicing a skit for homecoming when the man, drunk, interrupted them and shouted the slurs.

The man, identified as a student, has reportedly been removed from campus.

Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin responded to the incident.

“It’s enough. Let’s stop this. Let’s end hatred and racism at Mizzou,” he said in a message recorded overseas where he is attending a meeting. “Join with me and everyone else who is truly part of this family and say, ‘Enough is enough,’ and stop it now.”

Students in the Legion of Black Collegians and other groups say racism is not taken seriously at the University.
