Magic numbers for the Cardinals and Royals as of 9/30/15

The Royals lost to the Sox 4-2 but Toronto’s game with Baltimore was postponed.  The magic number drop to five and the Royals have five games to play

The Cardinals have two chances to clinch third straight NL Central title after Tuesday’s game was postponed

CardsCardinals magic number to clinch the Central Division — 2

Cardinals 99-58
Pittsburgh 95-62

 

The magic number is determined by taking 163 and subtracting the number of wins for the Cardinals (or Toronto) and subtracting the number of losses for the Pirates (and Royals) respectively.
