After scoring 26 points combined against nationally ranked teams USC and Mizzou, Arkansas State jumped all over Missouri State early Saturday evening in Jonesboro, AR.

The Redwolves scored 28 points in a little over a quarter of play and went on to hand the Bears a 70-7 loss.

Dave Steckel’s defense allowed 624 total yards in the game, including 344 on the ground. Quarterback James Tabary connected with 11 different receivers in completing 21-of-24 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns in three quarters of play, while four ASU running backs combined for 320 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Just how bad of a night was it for the Bears’ offense?  Chris Sullens broke a Missouri State punting record, surpassing Warren Baker’s career mark of 239 total punts, after kicking the ball away ten times on Saturday night.
