On fourth and four from the Tigers 25, UConn head coach Bob Diaco rolled the dice and called for a fake field goal attempt.  The pass from holder Tim Boyle was picked off by redshirt sophomore Anthony Sherrils, to help seal the Tigers 9-6 win over the Huskies.

Sherrils also recorded his first career interception and fumble recovery in the second quarter.

Maty Mauk finished the game 14 of 22 for 145 yards with an interception.  Mauk connected on a 51-yard pass to Tyler Hunt.   Mizzou has two plays of over 50 yards this season…both from Hunt.

The Tigers finished with 270 yards of total offense, holding UConn to 233.  Kentrell Brothers led Mizzou with ten tackle today, giving him 42 on the year.  Missouri also forced two turnovers.

The Tigers improved to 3-0 and start SEC play next week in Kentucky.
