UConn missed short on a 49-yard field goal attempt as they opened the third quarter.

Maty Mauk led the Tigers on a 15-play drive that ate up 6:34 off the clock.  Mauk saved the drive three times with his legs.  A 20-yard scramble and pass to Ish Witter after a Taylor Chappell penalty pushed Mizzou back to a first and 25.  Mauk then scrambled for a first down on a third and five from the UConn 13.  Then on 4th and goal from the two, after being stuffed on the run and covered in the endzone on a third down pass, Mauk took a keeper to right side to put the Tigers on top.

Charles Harris recorded another sack on UConn’s next possession, forcing a third and 21 from their 30.  A 13 yard pass from Shirreffs to Bloom forced a punt by the Huskies.  A poor punt of 13 yards gave the Tigers great field position.

Tyler Hunt, busted a 51-yard catch and run to give the Tigers a first and goal.  Mizzou is threatening at the six to start the fourth.

Mizzou–9
UConn–6
