It took nearly ten minutes of play in the third quarter before the Missouri Tigers got back on the board. A 62-yard play drive capped off by a 32-yard touchdown pass from Maty Mauk to Wesley Leftwich, who got past the defense and made a nice adjustment to catch the pass unmolested. This is Leftwich’s first game of the year.

After a nice kickoff return set Arkansas State up from their 40, they went three and out for the second consecutive drive and loss ten yards on a reverse that Mizzou snuffed out and then another ten yard sack by Charles Harris, who has been a beast up front for the Tigers.

On the Tigers next possession, a 27-yard run by Ish Witter gave the Tigers a first down at the ASU 26. Three plays later on a third and three, Mauk while under pressure, shuffled through the pocket and dumped a pass to his tight end Sean Culkin who raced 21 yards for Mauk’s third TD pass of the game.
