Eric Berry is back with the Chiefs.

Safety Eric Berry will suit up with the Kansas City Chiefs this summer after he was given the medical clearance to practice eight months after being diagnosed with lymphoma.  Training camp begins today for quarterbacks and rookies and Berry will take part in the three-day minicamp on the campus of Missouri Western in St. Joe.

Following a game in Oakland against the Raiders back in November, Berry complained of a pain in his chest.  Tests revealed a mass.  He immediately left for treatments in Atlanta and was out of the public eye while he received radiation and chemotherapy.

Berry (6-0, 211) has played in 60 games with the Chiefs (53 starts), recording 323 tackles, 5.5 sacks and eight interceptions. Berry joined the Chiefs as the club’s first-round draft pick (fifth overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Berry will hold a press conference on Wednesday.
