Jao Plata’s goal gave Real Salt Lake a 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas CIty on Friday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Sporting Kansas City is looking for their fourth straight win, while Real Salt Lake is looking to start a win streak with a win tonight.

In the 50th minute Sporting KC would get on the board when Roger Espinoza found Benny Feilhaber 25 yards out. Feilhaber blasted a shot past RSL goalkeeper Jeff Attinella to tie the score 1-1.
RSL would put the game away when Olmes Garcia drove into the box and Tim Melia took him down in the box for a penalty shot. Plata stepped up and planted the ball in the back of the net for a 2-0 lead in the 73rd minute.
