A four-man team, Joe Hull, Brett Fickle, James Walker and John Marshall, from Clinton, Mo. reeled in a record 60-pound grass carp to help take the top spot at the third annual U.S. Bowfishing World Championship tournament this weekend in five Ozarks area lakes.

The team from Clinton also reeled in $30,000 in prize money after they earned victory.  They finished with a total haul of 20-fish, weighing a combined 393 pounds.  Both the grass carp and their total catch were tournament records for the three year event.

The championship started Saturday night and ended early Sunday morning on Table Rock Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, Pomme de Terre Lake, Stockton Lake and Truman Lake.  The event reached its full limit of 275 teams.
