Scott City pitcher Braden Cox went the distance allowing just one run on five hits while striking out ten. He also went 1 for 3 at the plate including a single in the fifth inning that led to him stealing home for a run. The Rams beat Warsaw 4-1 Monday afternoon in the Class 1 semifinals.
Scott City with face Fatima today in the championship game at 1:30 after the Comets topped Lutheran/St. Charles 9-4. The Cougars allowed seven hits, but also walked five and were charged with three errors. Only three of Fatima’s nine runs were earned.
Lutheran/St. Charles and Warsaw play at 10:30 for third place.
The Class 3 semifinals are this afternoon and evening, starting with Bell City vs. Northwest (Hughesville) at 4:30 and Hurley vs. Atlanta at 7 p.m.
