May 30, 2015 By Missourinet Contributor

Sporting KCGraham Zusi recorded a goal and two assists as Sporting Kansas City defeated FC Dallas 4-0 on Friday night at Sporting Park.

Sporting enters Friday’s clash riding a six-match unbeaten streak and is coming off a 4-2 home win over the New England Revolution. FC Dallas, meanwhile, will be looking for a bounce-back effort after a surprising 2-1 loss to the Montreal Impact.

Sporting KC opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Graham Zusi sent a free kick into the box. Kevin Ellis headed a pass to an open Krisztian Nemeth who headed the ball past Dallas keeper Dan Kennedy as Sporting took a 1-0 lead at the break. FC Dallas will play the second half down a man as Zach Loyd recieved his second yellow card and a red card in the 43rd minute.

In the second half Sporting KC pushed the lead to 3-0. First Benny Feilhaber’s shot from the box found bottom left corner to increase the lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute.

Then six minutes later Zusi made a cross into the centre of the box to an open Kevin Ellis who headed the ball in to the bottom left corner to give KC a 3-0 lead.

Sporting KC continued the route when Connor Hallisey’s back pass gave Zusi room to bury a right footed shot in to the back of the net to give SKC a commanding 4-0 lead in the 64th minute.

In the win Sporting KC did not allow a shot until the 49th minute.
