Brian McCann homered in the second inning and Alex Rodriguez delivered a three-run blast to left field off starting pitcher Chris Young as the Yankees swept the Royals for their fourth loss in a row in a 4-2 final.

Michael Pineda improved to 6-2 after going six-plus innings of one-run ball.  His lone blemish was a solo homer to Mike Moustakas in the top of the second.

Young took his first loss of the year going six innings while striking out seven.
