No. 15 Mizzou Softball won its eighth straight on Thursday night, beating in-state rival Missouri State, 6-0. The Tigers improved to 8-0 on the season in midweek games and secured their 12th road win in 2015.  Credit to the Bears, the game  marked the first time in six games that the ranked Tigers had not run-ruled its opponent.

The Tigers put up a first inning run on two hits and a stolen base and tacked on an unearned run in the second.   Kelsea Roth hit a two-run home run in the third, and crushed her second two-run home run of the contest in the top of the fifth inning, tying her career-high with four RBI in the process. She has 41 career long balls and is now alone at fifth all-time on Mizzou’s career home run list.
