Edinson Volquez allowed five hits and a walk while striking out five against Minnesota over seven innings and the offense used an error by the Twins outfield to spark a three-run rally, which led to a 7-1 win on Tuesday night.

Twins’ outfielder Oswaldo Arcia dropped a line drive that he was in position to make off Mike Moustakas in left field. Eric Hosmer walked, and Kendrys Morales hit a double down the left-field line to give the Royals a 2-1 lead.  Hosmer scored on a wild pitch by reliever Blaine Boyer, and Salvador Perez added a sacrifice fly to make it 4-1 after six innings.

Morales added an insurance run in the eighth when the Twins let pop fly in shallow right field fall, and Paul Orlando hit a two-run triple.
