MSHSAA set to meet with high school A.D. and push new coaching initiative (Google Hangout)

April 7, 2015 By Bill Pollock

This weekend, MSHSAA will be hosting high school athletic directors from the entire state at Lake of the Ozarks.  Jason West, Communications Director for MSHSAA, says exhibitors will be on hand, sessions will be held to talk about different ballot issues, there will be discussions on hot topics and more.

MSHSAA Executive Director Dr. Kerwin Urhahn is pushing a new initiative by giving each athletic director a copy of the book “Inside Out Coaching,” by Joe Ehrmann.

MSHSAA will apply some programs to the state of Missouri based on the foundations of the book.  The questions addressed via practical applications at the workshop include: Why do I coach? Why do I coach the way I do? What does it feel like to be coached by me? How do I define success?

Jason visits with me to explain more.
