Jhonny Peralta had two hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the St. Louis Cardinals over the New York Mets, 5-4, Wednesday in Grapefruit League action.

Kolten Wong also had two hits and scored twice for the Cardinals, who got six scoreless innings out of starting pitcher Carlos Martinez in his final spring tune up. Martinez allowed just three hits, struck out five and walked one.

New York opening day starter Bartolo Colon was charged with three runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one, in five-plus innings of work. Colon will next toe the rubber in the Mets’ season opener against the Nationals.

Matt Reynolds drove in three runs, going 2-for-2, as he continues to make a case to make the roster if starting second baseman Daniel Murphy opens the season on the disabled list with hamstring issues.

Reliever Alex Torres made his debut with the Mets after being acquired by the team in a Monday trade. The left-hander tossed a perfect inning of relief.
