Mizzou Women’s Basketball won its first postseason WNIT game since 2003 on Thursday night with a 69-61 victory at Northern Iowa. The Tigers improve to 18-13 overall with the win and advance to play Kansas State in the second round of the tournament. The Tigers’ 18 wins so far this season are the most for a Mizzou team since the 2005-06 season when the Tigers finished with a 21-10 record overall.

Sophomore Jordan Frericks earned her 12th double-double of the season in the Tiger win as she tallied 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on the night. Both Morgan Eye and Maddie Stock scored in double-figures. Eye knocked down three, three-pointers and finished with 14 points overall.

Mizzou will face Kansas State in the second round of the WNIT with the game date, time and location to be announced.
