MICDS-Hillcrest

The MICDS Rams won the first Girls Class 4 semifinal on Thursday evening with a 64-34 win over Hillcrest.  Freshman Lindsay Parks recorded a double-double of 23 points and ten rebounds along with four blocks to lead the Rams.

MICDS came out red hot in the first quarter, jumping out to a 26-8 lead with Parks scoring eight.  She finished the half with 12 and 8.  The Rams showed Hillcrest a lot of press defense which Hornets coach Jeni Hopkins said they didn’t see a lot of during the season.

Rams head coach Scott Small noticed Hillcrest begin to tire in the second half as MICDS finished the fourth quarter strong, outscoring Hillcrest 13-5.  The win moves MICDS to 26-2, while Hillcrest is 23-9.
