It took a little while, but the Missouri Tigers baseball team is starting to show it belongs in the SEC and is now gaining some recognition on the national level.  The Tigers improved to 15-4 over and got off to a 3-0 start in SEC play with their first ever series sweep in the SEC.

Now the Tigers are ranked 26th nationally in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Top 30, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

The Tigers are back home today and tomorrow for a two-game, midweek series against Air Force at Taylor Stadium.  Then Mizzou will take on South Carolina, also undefeated at 3-0 in the SEC.  The Tigers rank near the top in the SEC in virtually every pitching category, league-leading marks in opponent batting and runs allowed per game. Mizzou is also second in the SEC in ERA, hits allowed and walks allowed.
