With their leading scorer on the bench in foul trouble, Scott County Central nearly went the entire third quarter without a point as Mid-Buchanan was able to battle back from a ten-point deficit at halftime to tie. However, the Braves responded in the fourth quarter for their 18th state title in school history with a 53-48 win.
Javonta Daniel, who played with four fouls, finished with a team high 23 points. He scored the first six points of the game for SCC and the last six to ice the victory. His jumper with 2:12 to play put the Braves on top 50-46.

Jeffery Porter scored four of his six second half points in a row to break a 46-46 tie with just over three minutes to play.
Garet Moulden led Mid-Buchanan with 24 points on 10 of 12 shooting as the Dragons scored 38 of their 48 points inside the paint. They also had 16 turnovers which both coaches considered the key to this game.
