In the Tigers 13-0 win over South Dakota State on Sunday, sophomore pitcher Cheyenne Baxter (Norborne, Mo.) got her first start as a Tiger and pitched 4.1 innings, striking out five and allowing no runs. She collected her first win in a Mizzou uniform.

Freshman Paige Bange (Helias Catholic/Jefferson City, Mo.) collected her first career RBI with a groundout to the right side of the infield.

In Saturday’s second game of two for Mizzou, the Tigers tied the scored 1-1 after sophomore Jordan Zolman (Arbyrd, Mo.) crushed a lead-off double in her first at bat of the season and then was pinch-ran for by Sophomore Anna Reed (Lonedell, Mo.) who scored on a Cleveland State error.

Baxter earned her first save of the season in the Tigers 4-2 win and sat down three consecutive batters to seal Mizzou’s second win of the day in the opener of the Dot Richardson tournament, a 6-1 win over UT-Chattanooga.

Troy, Missouri native Emily Crane went 7 for 17 at the plate and drove in six runs.
