New Mexico State started going inside and used their size to their advantage hitting 14 of 15 from the free throw line to tie the game up 34-34 at the break.

The first 10 minutes of the second half was back and forth, but the Aggies wore down UMKC and went on a 8-0 run to snap a 47-all tie. NMSU was up by six with 5:40 to play, and pushed it out of reach over the next two minutes, getting it up to 14 with three minutes left.
