According to MLB.com, the Kansas City Royals, coming off their 2014 World Series appearance, have extended the contract of manager Ned Yost one year through 2016. The Royals went 89-73 last season and clinched a wild card spot. The win total was three better than in 2013. Yost will enter his sixth year in Kansas City. He has a record of 373-402.
Yost also managed in Milwaukee for six years.
