With Mizzou’s 33-17 win over Minnesota in the Citrus Bowl, the Tigers are now 15-16 all-time in bowl games with a three game win streak, including back to back wins on New Year’s Day.

Citrus Bowl MVP Markus Golden had a team high eight tackles in the first half, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.  In his last five games, Golden had 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery, all coming after he healed up from a hamstring strain.

Safety Ian Simon tied Golden with ten tackles, a career best for him.

For the second time this season, DT Harold Brantley ran a fake punt.  He did in the Indiana game and pulled off a 19 yard rumbling first down in the second quarter.

Marcus Murphy, in his final game as a Tiger, finished with 157 rushing yards.  Russell Hansbrough scored on a 78 yard touchdown run, tying the Citrus Bowl record which was set in 1978 as the longest run from scrimmage, set by Terry Miller of Oklahoma State.

Bud Sasser closes out his career with 1,003 receiving yards this season, the most for a Tiger receiver since T.J. Moe’s 1,045 in 2010.  Sasser finished with 12 touchdowns, including two in this game.  He finished third in the SEC in that category.
