December 6, 2014 By Bill Pollock

1st Quarter Recap

Mizzou was bubble screened to death on the opening drive. Alabama put together a 10-play, 68 yard drive with no play going for more than 13 yards. Alabama went to their star wideout Amari Cooper three times.

After a three an out, the defense got a big series to stall Bama thanks to a penalty, five yard loss on a run and a third down sack by Shane Ray.

Alabama had just 33 yards of offense after the opening drive, while Missouri was held to 21 yards on 12 plays.

Score: Alabama 7, Mizzou 0
