The Missouri Tigers outscored Valparaiso by 14 in the second half as Kim Anderson picked up his first head coaching win in a 56-41 final at Mizzou Arena on Sunday evening.

Wes Clark scored 16 points and Johnathan Williams III had 10.  Mizzou opened up from a one-point halftime lead by going on a 14-2 run to grab a 41-29 lead with just under ten minutes to play.

The Tigers finally gained some separation with a 14-2 run to take a 41-29 lead with 9:47 remaining. Valparaiso never could get closer than seven the rest of the way.

Freshman Teki Gill-Caesar added nine points after leading the Tigers with 21 points in their season opening loss to UMKC.
