Given the recent struggles of quarterback Austin Davis, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher was asked if he was close to making a change at that position.  At Monday’s press conference, Fisher said he was sticking with Davis, saying that his young quarterback was working hard and they were going to stick with him.

Fisher change his tune in less than 48 hours.  NFL.com‘s Gregg Rosenthal is reporting that the Rams are making a change and naming Shaun Hill as the starting quarterback against the Denver Broncos.

After throwing nine touchdowns and just four interceptions in his first six games, Davis has regressed, getting picked off five times while throwing just three TD passes.  Davis bounced back in the San Francisco win after throw interceptions early in that game.  On Sunday at Arizona, Davis had was trailing 17-14 with 7:40 to play when he threw a pick six and later fumbled which resulted in another Cardinals’ touchdown that turned the game into a laugher.
