Kansas City radar

Kansas City radar as 12 p.m. CT, Monday.

Right now it appears the only thing that can slow the Kansas City Royals is the weather.  Game 3 of the American League Championship Series is in jeopardy of being postponed with the threat of rain in the forecast throughout the day and into the evening and nighttime hours.  The chance of rain is near or at 100% from now until 3 a.m. into Tuesday, with rain finally tapering off mid Tuesday morning.

If Game 3 is postponed, it will be moved to Tuesday, with Game 4 on Wednesday and if necessary, Game 5 on Thursday, the scheduled travel day.  Game 6 would still be played on Friday in Baltimore.

During the Cardinals 2006 World Series run, two of their NLCS games were postponed due to rain, in what was considered one of the wettest postseasons in baseball history.
