First Quarter Recap.

UCF was held to a three and out and forced to punt. Caleb Houston shanked one giving the Tigers a short field to work with at the UCF 40. Mizzou went 40 yards in seven plays, ending with an 11 yard touchdown pass from Maty Mauk to Jimmie Hunt.

Great job by Mauk as he rolled out of a pass rush to keep his eyes down field finding Hunt open at the back of the endzone.

After a false start penalty, UCF was faced with a 3rd and 19 from the Mizzou 46 and Justin Holman connected on a pass to John Reese, giving the Knights a first and goal. Mizzou held them to a field goal.

7-3 with 3:25 to play in the first quarter.

On the Tigers next possession, Mauk floated one deep down that field that was picked off giving the Knights the ball right back. UCF converted two, third down conversions and again on third down from the two, Holman found William Stanbeck wide open on a screen to the right and he walked into the endzone giving UCF a 10-7 lead with 12:17 to play in the first half.
