The state House has voted to restore to the state budget $1.452-million dollars vetoed by Governor Jay Nixon to pay for forensic exams for children who are victims of physical abuse.  Governor Nixon says the state doesn’t have the money for this and other items he vetoed in the budget.

The Governor could withhold the money for this and other items the legislature might vote to restore to the budget.

The line-item goes next to the Senate, who must also take it up for consideration of a veto override.
