Third Quarter Recap

Backup quarterback Zach Lujan went 4 of 5 on the opening drive of the second half leading South Dakota State down the field, setting up a three-yard TD run from Zenner, his second of the game. Lujan then dropped a nice lob pass to the side of the endzone for a two-point conversion to cut the lead to 21-18.

Marcus Murphy returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.

Jake Wieneke made a one handed catch for 44 yards down to the #Mizzou 30, but just a couple of plays later Lujan overthrew his receiver giving Aarion Penton an easy pick in the endzone.

The teams traded punts and Mizzou took over with :44 left in the third quarter. The Tigers offense held the ball for exactly one minute up to that point this quarter.
