Is Aaron Murray the odd QB out in KC?

Chiefs third-string quarterback Tyler Bray threw for 116 yards and a touchdown on 8-of-15 passing. Aaron Murray was just 5-of-10 passing for 39 yards as penalties put Kansas City in an early hole, losing to the Green Bay Packers, 34-14.

The Chiefs were flagged 14 times, seven in each half, as the Packers jumped out to a 20-7 halftime lead.

Chiefs running back Joe McKnight added 50 yards and a score on 10 carries in vying for the third-string running back job.  Chiefs receiver A.J. Jenkins made one of the most impressive plays of the night with a diving 45-yard catch. Third-string quarterback Tyler Bray followed on the next play with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Richard Gordon late in the second quarter.

However, the wide receiver position took more hits as Jenkins left with a concussion and Kyle Williams exited with a sprained shoulder.  That along with injuries to Dwayne Bowe and Junior Hemingway leave the Chiefs thin at WR.

“It’s good to get the preseason over and get on with the regular season,” Reid said.
