Former Missouri Tiger Michael Sam, a seventh-round draft pick, recorded the first of his two sacks against Cleveland’s Johnny Manziel early in the fourth quarter and celebrated with the “money” sign that Johnny Football made famous.

“If you’re going to sack Johnny, you’ve got to do that once,” Sam said.

Sam also sacked Manziel on the final play of the game, recording his third sack this preseason.

Sam registered a sack against Manziel last November when Mizzou beat A & M to claim the SEC East.  The two former SEC stars met briefly before the game.

“The guy (Sam) goes through a lot of stuff, so he gets heckled by everybody I’m sure, so he came up to me and said hello,” Manziel said. “It was a brief interaction. I thought he played pretty well.”

Fisher King, a football fan from New York City, tweeted that he would buy drinks for the world for eternity if Sam sacked Manziel and then gave the money sign.  Once that happened, King knew he couldn’t live up to his bet, so he offered to donate money to Sam’s favorite charity.  Sam responded on Twitter and the Jets fan paid up.
